Who We Are
Our
Location
We run our precise exercise oncology program out of our Corrimal PhysioHealth clinic, which is situated in the heart of the Illawarra. Additionally, we offer our services to patients in regional areas via video and apps.

Our Mission
Our program plays a vital role in helping individuals affected by cancer tolerate and complete their treatment. We believe all those affected by Cancer deserve the opportunity to improve their survival outcomes and rebuild there body and spirits after there treatment ends. Our primary goal is to prepare your body to endure the treatment and minimise treatment-related side effects. Cancer patients can experience a range of side effects from their treatment, and exercise has been shown to effectively manage many of these while contributing to a more positive treatment outcome.
Evidence-Backed
Approach
Our CanConquer program is grounded in the latest research conducted by universities in Western Australia, Victoria, and around the world. There's an overwhelming body of evidence supporting the integration of exercise as a complementary component to standard cancer care.

Jess McGrath
Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Pilates Instructor (B.Ex.Sc, M Clin ExPhys)
Jess has been with the CanConquer team for over 8 years, practicing as one of the senior Exercise Physiologists. She has been an integral part in the development of the program, using her wealth of experience to ensure every person is given the best possible treatment suited specifically to them!
Her enthusiasm and passion to provide this service to our community comes from seeing first hand the effects exercise can have on someone’s life when given a cancer diagnosis. Physically and mentally, this program provides people with strength to fight and Jess has been fortunate to be a part of this on a daily basis.
She encourages anyone to pop in and see what it is all about - to spread awareness for what cancer rehab has the ability to do.
Abby Wallace
Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Lymphoedema Practitioner, Clinical Pilates Instructor, Next Steps Instructor (PINC & Steel certified) (B.Ex.Sc, M Clin ExPhys)
Abby is a practicing Exercise Physiologist as part of the CanConquer team, whilst most recently growing her passion and becoming a lymphoedema practitioner. With over 6 years experience working in the cancer rehab space we are extremely lucky to have her knowledge on board.
In her years at CanConquer Abby has witnessed the effects cancer treatment can have on people, in particular those with lymphoedema. Whilst exercise can positively influence lymphoedema, Abby wanted to provide as much support as possible and furthered her knowledge and skills to provide manual therapy in this area.
This understanding of the lymphatic system in combination with exercise has helped improve everyday function for so many experiencing these treatment related side effects.

Paige Phillips
Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Clinical Pilates Instructor (B.Ex.Sc, M Clin ExPhys)
Paige joined the CanConquer team extremely motivated to share her passion as an Exercise Physiologist.
Paige has seen the role exercise as a form of medicine has had on people with a cancer diagnosis, and how positive this can be!! She has been inspired by the overwhelming research showing why people should be exercising as part of their treatment pre, during and post a diagnosis.
Paige loves asking her patients how they feel when they walk in so she can compare it to the after effect of exercise. No matter what that patient achieves in that session every person walks out feeling somewhat better than when they turned up - and that is the beauty of exercise oncology!!! So why not let everyone experience it.
Simone Inwood
Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Clinical Pilates Instructor (B.Ex.Sc, M Clin ExPhys)
Simone brings a wide range of skills to our CanConquer team. She is a ball of energy and fun - making movement more enjoyable.
Meeting someone for the first time when they feel exhausted from their treatments and being able to make a change in how that person feels everyday is empowering.
Most people ask us 'why did I not find out about this sooner..' - and that is why we will strive to educate and spread the word everyday about why cancer rehab is so important! Simone knows that if we can help someone maintain their muscle strength as early into their diagnosis as possible - their ability to tolerate treatment is much greater. Side effects are not as common and the later effects are more tolerable.
Seeing the positive influence of exercise day to day sparks the drive for Simone to provide this quality evidence based treatment to all people experiencing a cancer diagnosis.
